How long does it typically take to get my items?

All of our leather goods are made to order so we can tailor them to your needs. We do not mass produce any of our items so this increases the lead time. Our Hand+Built process can takes up to 10 days plus allow for 2-3 days shipping.

What forms of payment does H+B accept?

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal and ApplePay. We do not accept checks or cash at this time.

What type of leather do you use?

The leather for your exclusive piece is sourced from full grain, natural and eco-friendly leather that has been tanned in the US. We only use leather from Wickett&Craig Tannery.  They are just one of the two remaining vegetable tanneries left in the United States. 

Why is H+B Different? 

First of all we believe in the process. The process of building your piece with hard work, dedication and care. From start to finish your piece is made by one expert leather maker.  We also can guarantee you that every single item is cut out by hand and sew by hand.  No die cutters used, which means every single piece that goes out will have the distinct H+B rugged look but will also be unique. Finally, since its just one leather maker in a small shop we have low overhead. We are making items made to order so you can rest assure each piece is of the highest quality but at a lower price point. 

Does every piece look exactly the same?

As leather is a natural product, there are subtle variations in each piece’s color and texture. Leather is an incredibly durable material but it will fade and soften over time in a process known as patina. This, along with natural creases, markings and color variations help form the unique characteristics and beauty of each piece. Indeed, any markings and variations such assure you of the authenticity of your leather product.   

Can you do custom add on's?  

Since all of our leather goods are made to order and everything is done by hand we can work with you to make sure your bag fits your needs.  Many customers want custom ad on's such as: roller board strap, newspaper pocket on the back, extra insert and even a backpack option.  Please email us at orders@handbuiltleather.com with any of your questions or ideas and we will work with you to make your bag that will be #BUILTFORLIFE.
